Thorns first show up in the third chapter of the Bible. They're not a good sign.

After the fall, God tells Adam the ground will now bring forth "thorns also and thistles" (Genesis 3:18). Thorns are the curse. The proof that everything got broken.

Fast forward thousands of years.

A group of Roman soldiers twist a crown out of thorns, jam it down on Jesus' head, bow in front of Him and laugh. "Hail, King of the Jews!" (Matthew 27:29)

They thought they were mocking a fake king.

What they were actually watching was the real King taking the curse from the very first pages of the story and wearing it as a crown, so you wouldn't have to.

What's on it

This is our quietest shirt, on purpose. A small, rough-inked crown of thorns on the left chest. NEVER DEPART across the back of the neck. No verse. No slogan. No explanation.

Most people will just see a clean, well made tee. The ones who know will know. Black ink on faded bone.
